È un onore poter condividere questa staffetta con i Giganti dell’AONI - Accademia Olimpica Nazionale Italiana, storici custodi di quella Italia che fu modello di innovazione per il mondo intero
Dal 1987, l’AONI è impegnata con le 154 Accademie Olimpiche dell’International Olympic Academy (concepita nel 1927 Pierre De Coubertin), alla divulgazione dei valori dell’Olimpismo e dell’Educazione Fisica, materia tanto cara al fondatore dei Giochi Olimpici Moderni (nel giugno del 1894, proprio a conclusione del «Congresso internazionale di educazione fisica», che de Coubertin aveva ribattezzato «Congresso per la restaurazione dei Giochi olimpici», egli proclamò la fondazione del primo Comitato Internazionale Olimpico (CIO) alla presenza di 12 paesi).

It is an honor to be able to share this relay with the Giants of the AONI - Italian National Olympic Academy, historic custodians of that Italy which was a model of innovation for the whole world
Since 1987, AONI has been involved with the 154 Olympic Academies of the International Olympic Academy (conceived in 1927 by Pierre De Coubertin), to disseminate the values of Olympism and Physical Education, a subject so dear to the founder of the Modern Olympic Games (in June 1894, at the conclusion of the «International Congress of Physical Education», which de Coubertin had renamed «Congress for the restoration of the Olympic Games», he proclaimed the foundation of the first International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the presence of 12 countries) .
